I just started testing the Canon 5D Mark III, and so far it’s pretty amazing. I’d like to post a full review at some point, but one of the features I like most is the 61 focus points. With so many points, there are naturally several modes you can use to control how the camera focuses. I love the fully auto mode for general shooting – especially of people. It detects people quickly and accurately. I also love the ability to switch to primarily use a segment of the 61 points to focus with. Light sensitivity is very good, too. Focusing in very dark conditions works well – about the same as the 6D. The 61 points should make a difference shooting action – and after I have some tests I’ll be sure to share them.
All-in-all, this is a great camera. Looking forward to shooting more with it.
